Mary told me to stop impersonating a flamingo. I had to put my foot down.
Today we hit workday early. We talked to Colleen from Casa Valencia, and she sent u a picture of her and her three grandkids, my great-grandkids. I must say they are cute!
We worked until about 11:00 AM and then went to “Girls Night Out” at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge before going to Lowe’s to look at tub enclosures. We had a super time at the Elks as we were joined by Sydney, Bob, and Gale. After a couple of “surprise me” drinks, I was ready to attack Lowe’s with a vengeance. We had such a great time I didn’t even haul out the camera!
I want high-quality glass, no shower curtains for me. We found what we wanted, but no one was around, so we departed without making a sale. I will try again tomorrow.
Speaking of showers, I did remind Mary that, “Singing in the shower is great until you get shampoo in your mouth. Then it’s more of a soap opera.” Well, then I had to follow up with Mary by asking, “Why did Cleopatra bathe in milk?” As I walked quickly toward the parking lot, being careful not to pass by any aisle with small objects readily available for Mary to grab, I responded, ” She couldn’t find a cow tall enough to have a shower.”
Returning to Casa Valencia, we worked some more until it was time to meet Dianne at the pedicure place! Yes, children, grandpa gets pedicures now, thanks to Dr. Mary!
We invited Dianne to come and see the mess, and we spent an hour or so with her on the patio just talking. The patio is great, but we do get a nice afternoon breeze and may have to opt for a gas-fired heater for late afternoon talks!
After Dianne departed, we did the same.
