We Have Two New Cars!!

With the rise of self-driving vehicles, it’s only a matter of time before we get a country song where a guy’s truck leaves him too!

Fall is now here…The high is 76 today! Yeah!

We are staying home to rest today and I had some time to think about America today! I can save money and simplify my life quite easily!

So we are having both of our cars detailed today. The Silver Ghost (Van)and Grey Lady (Avalon)are getting scrubbed head to tail! The guys came by at 8:30 AM and worked for hours making them pretty again! This is so handy, we are going to have them guys come by every two weeks and wash them and detail them every 90 days!

The Odyssey has 70,000 miles on him and still has the original tires/brakes.

The Silver Ghost

The Silver Ghostg got his bath but alas, it began to rain so the Grey Lady had to wait!

The Gray Lady has 140,000 miles and has not had a single problem and just got her third set of tires. The inside is in showroom shape! I have a cover for her and will keep it on after her day at the spa!

Gray Lady

We had lunch and then it was time for a “Wine Run”…the Silver Ghost was magnificent, like stepping inside a new car! The five cases of wine slid right in and off we went! Oh, I did stop by Lowe’s and picked up another pink orchid!

OMG! Lowe’s had Christmas decorations up in September?????

We watched TV for a while and then at 5:30 we headed for Patty’s Place to have a drink and visit our favorite bartender. I pigged out and had a couple of sliders and some keylime pie along with the two gin and tonics!

Really good but NOT for my waist line!

We headed home for an evening of TV and visiting! We enjoy each others company; tonight is puzzle night!

Heading home the sunset was beautiful!!!

We returned home and watched TV.

We crashed at 12:00. We missed the Phoenix Club this evening but we were not ready for dancing after the hospital stay this week.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
