Home Again!! Happy Birthday Grandsons!

Patient: ‘Doctor, I’ve swallowed a spoon.’ Doctor: ‘Sit down and don’t stir.’

We planned to take our grandsons out for their birthdays… Zack and Nick were born the same day about ten years apart. Alas, the hospital stay kinda messed that up but we will try again this weekend!

Rebecca and Zachary!
Nick loves Halloween!!

We thought about them so we decided a salad with bacon might be a nice thought!

I told Sue I had a healthy breakfast!

I slept 13 hours last night! I have not done that since I was 18! Woke up at 9:15 AM and shot outta here like a rocket because I said I would be back to see her betweem 9:00-10:00 AM. We were happy to be together again! She really liked my arrival as I had the champagne! To the hospital I flew and thank goodness, the Silver Ghost knew the way!

Arriving at 10:00 AM, we took a look at breakfast and decided to toss it. Rubber eggs and a package of “glop”. I made a connection to CPK using my CPK app on the iPhone (California Pizza Kitchen) and placed an order for their veggie soup and two flat breads. The nurses about fainted when they saw us in the hospital room drinking “champagne” out of two delightful plastic champagne flutes! We quickly pointed out the label and they giggled and went on about their business!

The good stuff!!!

Departing at 1:30 PM to do some chores, the phone rang as I pulled into the garage at 1:45 PM. The doctor has released her…yeah! Now we leave for the urologists office for a 4:00 PM appointment. We have five prescriptions to get but that will wait until in the morning!

This is one of my walking destinations… Two miles from our place!

She is home…safe and sound! We watched some TV and crashed about modnight!

I went through my email (since I have been rather busy the last two days) and voila, the Honeywell report came in! Because the weather is cooler (sorry global warming nuts), we used 50% less cooling this summer!

We are doing well!!!

As they say…tomorrow is another day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
