The Week Has Started But With A Big Oops!

When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane and going the wrong way.

First thing this morning we got a call from Brian and Jan (calling from their home in London) and they confirmed seeing Michele (our daughter), Franklyn, and Theo. Jan was trying to figure out a way to keep Theo and send his parents home! We all laughed!

So we did chores today and rested as we are going to Disneyland to celebrate Chuck’s birthday (our bartender and friend from Patty’s Place). We decided to take him to Catal for dinner at 5:00 PM

Well…we got there and after walking 0.7 miles from the new parking facilities to Catal, I was ready to have a fit. Double Gin & Tonic please! A few sips later and I was OK. God Bless Gin!

We talked to the staff, who we know well, and at 5:30 PM I decided to text Chuck to make sure he was OK.

He was just fine…sitting at home…dumb ol’ me, I didn’t read his text message very well as he said it would be at Catal on the 5th to celebrate… next week! We told Chuck all was OK…we were doing a practice run! We all had a good laugh!

We decided to have diner so I had the Ox Tail Pappardelle which was wonderful.

Did You Know? Pappardelle are large, very broad, flat pasta noodles, similar to wide fettuccine, originating from the region of Tuscany. The fresh types are two to three centimetres wide and may have fluted edges, while dried egg pappardelle have straight sides.

We headed home and on the way our security camera went off,,,geez, a burglar and I don’t get to practice firing my Colt 45…damn! So I reaches for the trusty iPhone, hit a few buttons and discover the culprit! Derned garden spider!

Home again and off to the boob tube to watch ER and Grey’s Anatomy! We did tookies at 10:00 PM and crashed. I finished off the birthday website and sent it our to everyone! I crashed about 1:00 AM.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
