What A Day!!! Toofs/Gardening/Dancing

Q: What is a dentist’s office? A: A filling station

Up and at them…I was thinking my dentist appointment was at noon then Sue corrected my… it was 9:30 AM! Hell os a way to start the day. Oh well…to the dentist for a tooth extraction. The guy is fantastic…funny, went to USC, great staff, and I was in/out in about 30 minutes! $180 and the tooth was gone!

When I got home, I found five bales of straw had been delivered by my outstanding friend and brother by another mother, Crazy Greg! So happy to have the straw for mulch! The mulch keeps the ground moist in the hot sun and in six months it can be put into the ground via the rototiller.

Straw is a stalk, usually a waste product of wheat, that’s used as bedding for barnyard animals. Hay—typically alfalfa or a grass—is used as animal feed.

Returning home, I skipped lunch…duh! Great for the diet. I went into the back yard and continued my quest for a planted and growing garden by Easter. Four bags of soil amendment later, we are on our way!

Nap time after four hours in the yard! Moving the amendment and four flats of veggies plus diffing am running the roto-tiller was a lot of work!

It’s almost 6:00 PM and time to go to the Phoenix Club. We danced until 9:30 PM and then returned for a wild evening of wine and tookies.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
