A mother complained to her consultant about her daughter’s strange eating habits. –“All day long she lies in bed and eats yeast and car wax. What will happen to her?” –“Eventually,” said the consultant, “she will rise and shine.”
I got up early and did some chores around the COLD house… I left the heater off and windows all open and it was 68 inside…freezing (per Sue’s standards). Breakfast…yes! One half of a Subway’s Vegetarian Sandwich…perfect.
Off to the hospital and I was so happy…She recognized me! A good sign. She says “I want to go home” and the doc says “Not until we figure out what you have!” I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says “A blood culture is a test to find an infection in the blood. Most bacteria can be seen in the culture in 2 to 3 days, but some types can take 10 days or longer to show up.” – I was NOT going to tell her that!
I made four trips back and forth and the last one, around midnight she was asleep so I stayed about 30 seconds. I did make sure that non-alcoholic wine was available on demand!
