Sunday Kept Us Busy!

Why did the blonde stare at a frozen orange juice can for 2 hours? Because it said “concentrate”!

First things first…pack up Halloween for another year!  Second thing is to point the security camera in the proper direction at the front door.  Today it required a 2″x 2″ dropdown from one of the rafters to provide a view plus protection from the weather.  It works by golly!

Both doors visible and working well!

We got cleaned up and headed to Season’s 52 for a leisurely lunch prior to going South Coast Repertory to see “Kings”.  At Season’s we got out private room reservations for The Christmas Story or Scrooge…This will be our 28th year to going to the play without a miss and this year we are taking the Adams, the Liles, the Finch’s, Irene, Greg, Nancy and Nick!  Robin and Bob will be n Mexico celebrating her birthday!

Fresh from New York, this incisive comedy takes an unflinching look at how things get done in Washington. When Sydney Millsap wins a seat in Congress, she’s determined to drain the swamp. Then she meets Kate, a whip-smart lobbyist who gets her clients what they want—whatever they want. When Kate helps Sydney try to unseat a powerful senator steeped in cronyism, the result is a “sleek, fast-paced, absorbing and very funny” (Vogue) exploration of money’s corrosive effect on politics.

After the play and on the way home we decided to stop by the old watering hole, Old Ranch Country Club and voila, the old hang was there…Rocky and Bullwinkle, James and Linda, and to cap things off, Charlotte came by!

I pulled out the camera to capture a few of the moments!  This is the result:

Charlotte joined us making it a special evening…she is a delightful lady!

Of course, James and Linda made great subject for the new camera! I really love the new iPhone 10 X max!

After getting home we watched TV until 11:00 PM and then Sue crashed.  I stayed up until about 1:00 AM as I have to not eat anything because of a blood test I am taking tomorrow at 10:00 AM.  I stayed up to study for the test!  I am getting ready for my annual physical…a few months late but that’s OK…I get to show the doctor I lost 30+ pounds since I last saw him!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
