Fall Is Getting Close

Seriously: I was going to have cosmetic surgery until I noticed that the doctor’s office was full of portraits by Picasso!

I did a three plus mile walk and I am up to 678 miles. Using a radius drawn around our home, it would look like this!  I have walked round trip to Las Vegas…wow!

Making the “rounds”

It was a good walk and today  I went north today heading away form the shopping center just to be different and met some old friends like Mr. & Mrs. Froggy.

They were happy to see me!

As I have said for weeks now, the Crepe Myrtle trees seem to be amazing this year! Crepe myrtle derives its name from the crepe like look and texture of the flowers.

Brilliant reds and pinks all over the hood

After getting home, we hurried to get ready and headed for CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) to have lunch with Robin…always a good way to spend time!  She is doing great and getting ready for the graduation this coming weekend.  We are very proud of her!

Returning home, Paul worked in the shop assembling another movable storage rack.  Finally, I have all the small items in boxes and labeled.  Example, all the 3/4″ PVC is in one place…all the circular saw blades in one place…all the extension cords in one place…and all right out front easy to get to!

Rools easily and holds over 1000 pounds of “stuff”

I love “the shop” now…after 30 years it’s finally organized, I have room and lighting, and all the tools I could possibly need although I am thinking about a table router/bench router. Now I can get down to work!

At my age, this happens all the time!

In the afternoon we alternated between doing chores and watching TV and finished off the day with season 13 of NCIS…it’s funny we still didn’t see (or remember) some of the episodes during the last two years?  Go figure!

We had our tookies about 10:30 PM and crashed at 11:55 PM…tomorrow is another day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
