We went to the movies after going to Knott’s and before we went home to watch a Christmas movie on TV. Good movie, a little sad but Clooney did a good job. Up in the Air is a 2009 American comedy-drama film directed by Jason Reitman and written by Reitman and Sheldon Turner, based on the career of J Weller. The story is centered on corporate “downsizer” Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) and his travels. Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick, and Danny McBride also star. Filming was primarily in St. Louis, Missouri, which substituted for a number of other cities. Several scenes were filmed in Detroit, Omaha, Las Vegas and Miami.
