On the road bright and early, Paul headed for the Toyota dealer at 6:00 am to be first in line for the 7:00 am appointment!
Our “Cleaning Lady”, sounds so impersonal, was sick today. Adrianne is just an amazing person. reliable as clockwork and a delightful friend. She has been with us for many years!
We had planned to leave the house about 3:00 PM ahead of her arriving and we did. We went to the LabCorp office to donate some blood for our doctors appointment next week. When that was over, Sue suggested we go to Maderas for a drink!
Upon arrival. the bar was full so we asked for a booth. Since we had the wheelchair, they put us in the back… How wonderful! It wa quiet, romantic, and away form the hustle and bustle!
Paul was on is “diet”, acutally doing pretty good weighing in at 205 this morning. But alas, the 12 oz New York steak with hot peppers and English Blue Cheese was on the special at $44.00! Yep! He ordered it and it was wonderful! PAul showed extreme self control and ordered a “to-go” box when he prdered the steak and cut off two thirds of it before starting the meal. Yes girls and boys, he hid it from himself so he would not fine it! It was absolutely wonderful!
Sue ordered from the vegetarian menu {yes, the Maderas Steakhouse has an extensize vegetarian menu!) Sue ordered the Chipotle Pasta whic is Angel hair pasta tossed in spicy chipotle glaze and spinach, topped with feta cheese and served with a side of Texas toast. Due to being sick, we took all of hers home with us.
We have lunch for several days!
We headed home afterwords and watched some of our favorite series before crashing… with a full tummy!
