Tuesday Da Turd Of October… A Quiet Day!

We are home! Time to unwind!  Always time for a giggle.

We always knew that!

The visit with Aunt Kaye went pretty well.  She is an amazing woman and she again shared stories of her life we had never ever heard.  We never realized she was married only seventeen years.  Paul thought it was almost forever as he grew up kinda knowing Ray Hale, Tom’s father and Kaye’s “husband”.

Ray was never around and in fact now that Paul goes back into his memories, he probably only saw Ray maybe five times.  When Paul went to Stockton to visit during the summer, Ray was never around.  So after a while, it seemed normal that Ray was not around!

Now that Paul is “old”, he understands why his parents always asked Tom to spent most summers in Los Angeles.  Tom and Paul’s dad were like father and son, more than Tom’s own dad. Paul’s parents were saints!

Enough of the sad!  We stayed close to home with Paul working in the garden removing the last of the summer tomatoes and running a rototiller down the back wall!  We will probably plant in another 30 days!

We got cleaned up and went to Patty’s place just to get out of the house and of course, visit with Chuck.  He wanted an update on Aunt Kaye and we coordinated future dancing events.

Returning home, we watched some TV and crashed a little early.

Paul heard Sue yell around 11:30 PM and apparently she stumbled over the area heater in the master bathroom.  She fell on the heater and was really hurting.  PAul got her up and back into bed.  Apparently the nightlights were “out” but this will lnever happen again.  Paul bought several LED Nightlights that last for 40,000 hours which means years and years of service with 0.5 watts energy usage.  She is indeed sore!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
