Golf & Dancing Makes For A Great Day

We are up and going this morning bright and early.  As Paul was walking the yard and cleaning the garage, our plumber dropped by saying he had a little more work to do.  The FAMILY PLUMBER just does it right.  He left a little work to do because it was getting dark, Paul didn’t even notice what it was!

Interesting!

We had an electrician drop by and do and estimate on moving to a 200 amp box.  Our 100 amp box is just flat overloaded and certainly unbalanced.  He said about $3,000 which is pretty reasonable considering we are going to add 12 outlets in the “computer room”.  We have extension cords all over the place and they need to be gone!

Depends upon your point of view

Sue fixed lunch and we are off to Old Ranch for a half glass of wine before playing nine holes at 2:15 PM.  We finished in two hours and had a pretty good game considering all of our aches and pains!

We went to the club house and who was there but Charlotte.  She was back from Denmark after three plus weeks so we visited with her for a while before flying home, changing, and heading to Patty’s Place.

We stopped by the ‘ol watering hole, Patty’s Place,  so Paul could have a bowl of soup before going dancing.  Tonight it was cream of mushroom and it was like eating pudding it was so thick!  It was perfect!  The manager, Barry, is super and the bartender, Chuck, is just amazing.  Unfortunately, John Morris, who is associated with the place, is an absolute #$&#^$*# and a lying SOB! We do NOT have to see him thank goodness!

Great place to hang!

Now, into the magic chariot and off the the Phoenix Club for an evening of dancing with friends.

We returned home by 11:00 PM and watched two episodes of Cheers before asking the Sandman to visit.

Did You Know? Traditionally, he is a character in many children’s stories and books. In Scandinavian folklore he is said to sprinkle sand or dust on or into the eyes of the child at night to bring on dreams and sleep. The grit or “sleep” (rheum) in one’s eyes upon waking is supposed to be the result of the Sandman’s work the previous day.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
