Saturday – Time To Relax – NOT

Rest is a four letter word in this household!  First things first… Gardening.  Paul finished off the spreading of the mulch in the driveway garden before heading for the shower and getting ready for Seasons 52 at South Coast Plaza.

We were welcomed with our booth reserved for us and our favorite bottle of wine chilled!  The Manager is just spectacular!  Thank You for making us feel special.

Paul went back to his favorite but changed the carrots for English Peas…  Excellent substitution!

Rainbow Trout… So Good!

The snow peas were so crisp that crackled when bitten into!

Magnificent soup was perfectly prepared.

Asparagus Soup!

The main event of the day you say?  We saw “Finding Neverland” at the OC Performing Arts Center.  What a terrific production.  It was fantastic, simply fantastic.

Directed by visionary Tony® winner Diane Paulus and winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for Best Musical, FINDING NEVERLAND tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan.

Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes this monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever. The magic of Barrie’s classic tale springs spectacularly to life in this heartwarming theatrical event.

We departed the musical with a lilt in our step and a smile on our face!  A wonderful experience!

Where next you ask?  To the City Club which is next to the theater. We had a drink with our favorite bartender and met a new lady who was extremely delightful!

Great fun while awaiting departure time to the Elks

Now to finish off the day, we went to the Garden Grove Elks and danced to Dave Ambrose until 10:00 PM before heading for home.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
