RETIRED TEN YEARS TODAY!

Ten years ago today, we walked out of Boeing hand-in-hand after 75+ years of working there (NAA, Rockwell, and Boeing). We retired early, but it was the best thing we ever did! Now we have what time remains to spend together every day.

We celebrated by going to H&H Nursery and getting bush beans, strawberries, and several other veggies to plant tomorrow. Our garden is doing well, and this is the start of the summer garden.

Indeed we are!

We returned home to drop off the veggies before going to Old Ranch for a drink. Then, we returned home to wait for Greg before going to South Coast Repertory to see “Orange.” Summary:  World-class “stinker”! The three of us walked out 25 minutes into the production! No plot, story, connection with the audience, relationship with each other… Just blah! Two other couples near us walked out before us!

Dusk at the theater

We stopped by the hotel before seeing the play. After seeing part of it, we should have had three drinks and slept through it.

Good place for a drink!

We dropped Greg off at our home to get his car, and we went to Patty’s Place for a bowl of soup and a glass of wine! We met with the locals for a couple of hours and headed home at 10:00 PM to watch a movie and get some Cheers.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
