We enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Cucina Enoteca in the Newport Shopping Center before going to Roger’s Gardens to preview the Christmas Winter Wonderland. A pale palette of snowy silvers and whites transport you into an ice-palace where twenty themed Christmas trees are adorned with glass ornaments. Join us at the preview.
Enjoying all the trees and other decorations
We went home to freshen up before going to Cerritos Performing Arts Center to see Carol Burnett in “An Evening Of Laughter and Reflection”. We were in the first row near the center and really enjoyed her presentation. Too bad we do not have good clean comedy anymore.
Legend Carol Burnett took questions from the audience and shared video clips from the Emmy-winning The Carol Burnett Show, where her studio audience had an unfiltered opportunity to ask the comedienne questions and receive spontaneous answers. Named by TIME magazine as one of “100 Best Television Shows of All Time,” the series ran for 11 years, garnering 25 Emmys.
We finished the evening with a nightcap at Patty’s Place. We visited Chuck and found a new friend, John.
