We did chores around the house. Paul was inside the grapefruit tree cleaning out the dead branches. It was a stretch (pardon the pun) but he filled up half a barrel with twings, branches, and some older grapefruit. The tree is looking pretty good now. The tangerine tree may be next!
We played nine holes at 2:30 and it was pretty fast. Sue ran into Lilly The Swan and treated her to our special food we get from the feed store. We buy vitamin fortified duck food complete with corn kernels.
When she saw Sue, she paddled all the way across the lake to visit her. She must have excellent vision!
The day was beautiful. It was in the 80’s but Old Ranch gets the ocean breeze in the afternoon keeping the course playable!
Today was Donna’s birthday so we texted her and got an immediate response!
We did some Happy Hour at Old Ranch and then went across the street to Kobe Steakhouse where Paul did some sushi. He had octopus carpaccio followed by eel sashimi! The sushi/sashimi are low in calories so that is a good thing! Depending on the type of fish, one piece of nigiri sushi ranges from 40 calories (squid, scallop) to 50 (salmon, yellowtail) or 65 calories (eel, sea urchin).
We then headed for home where Sue hit the treadmill while we watched a movie and then we did three episodes of Star Trek. We crashed at midnight.
