It was destined to be a warm day but we went into the mouth of the dragon and visited The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens where it was a balmy 97 degrees. Please join us!
We had lunch at the Rose Tea Room on the premises and enjoyed their lite but filling buffet.
We then walked for almost two hours through the herb garden the rose garden the Japanese Garden and finally the Chinese Garden.
We skipped the desert and the lower gardens because of time (and heat).
After the visit, we went VFR to Malarkey’s to meet up with Irene and Greg and catch up on things. Joanna sent them a small bag of scones. It was probably a reward for being smart and staying close to the ocean!
We departed Malarkey’s at 7:00 and went home to the treadmill and Star Trek TV. It was a busy day!
