It’s Saturday And A Work Day

Do I hear a big AMEN??

Do I hear a big AMEN??

Time for some cleanup in the front yard.  Our grapefruit tree went bonkers this year and produced hundreds of grapefruit.  Paul finally went up on the garage roof and cut the ones resting on the garage letting them roll to the ground ten feet below!

While cleaning up the grapefruit, Paul also attacked the lemon tree as it was growing so tall it needed to be cut down to size.  He got most of it but at seventy plus years old, standing on the top of a twelve foot ladder is not a good idea so we will be calling some professionals.

Sue picked pounds and pounds of small tomatoes and made several quarts of her famous pasta-tomato salad.  Vicky (next door) got some, the Chartier’s will get some, and we kept the remainder.

We went to the market to for last minute “Porter Shopping” before coming home and awaiting time to go to the Garden Grove Elks.  Paul took a nap and Sue sorted out all the Cerritos Theater tickets.

We went to the Elks and again danced until about 10:00 PM before going home and visiting with Pat and Diane.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
