We began making calls and finally ended up at Greater Long Beach Orthopedic Surgery Center (about six blocks away form us). Dr. Kidd was excellent. He recommended no surgery but a cast was mandatory for 3-6 weeks!
The splint hid the facts. We were both surprised when the hand was unwrapped.
It’s time for a cast! Sue selected black thinking that would not show dirt.
The cast went on in about five minutes but alas, the coat should have come off first. We had to cut one of the seams about eight inches so the coat could come off with the cast on.
It took three hours at the doctor so we decided to stop at Hoff’s Hut for a quick lunch before going home and getting ready for Malarkey’s.
