Stuffed Is The Word

We departed the house about 11:00 to meet with the Old Timers, Sue’s folks she worked with at Boeing.  We try to do this about every 60 days!  Taco Surf in Sunset Beach was our target and Paul had to try the Carne Asada Burrito.  Danged thing was huge!

We were missing several today but busy retirement schedules have that effect on all of us!

We then returned home to to the treadmill and mess around on the garden for a while before going to Patty’s Place to meet up with Robin.

Salad soon!

Salad soon!

Strawberries, salad, cauliflower, and shelling peas are growing daily!  The lettuce leaves get picked a few at a time and become the world freshest salad under the careful supervision of Miss Sue!

We looked on-line to see how to harvest these little beauties!  The stalk is edible (unlike regular broccoli) so we get quite a bit of edible food in each harvest.  Done correctly, the plant will reproduce additional flower shoots which can be harvested agin (…sometimes up to three times!).

We headed for Patty’s Place to meet up with Robin!

We then went to Old Ranch for a glass of wine before going home.  We met up with Arturo and had a good conversation with him.  He is a bright and talented young man for being twenty-five years old!

Then to home and we watched two Hallmark movies.  God Bless Hallmark for producing good movies.  Much better than anything Hollywierd has to offer!  Thank you Hallmark!!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
