A Relaxing Day With Emotions

“Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.” – Vicki Harrison

We had a great breakfast this morning and a special dessert!  We picked fresh blueberries and strawberries and then Sue added the “Hans Thedens Special Sauce” plus a splash of champagne!  Voila… The way to start the day!

We then got ready to go to the doctors office and we collected much of the babies bedding and dishes so we could give them to the Seal Beach Animal Shelter.  We had large trash bags filled with quilts, baby blankets, and other blankets.  Of course we kept several items like their baby dishes and the blankets they came home in.  Very sad and emotional.

We decided to go to the Boathouse and have a drink or two to wind down.

We returned home about 5:00 and headed to the treadmill and an evening in front of the boob tube!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
