Friday Was Golf And Visiting Family

We had breakfast with James before starting our round at 10:52.  If we complete the games, Paul and James will have walked 22 miles this week as each game is at least 5.5 miles according to the odometer attached to his GPS watch!

Dang!  That means we walk a lot:  3 games a week x 50 weeks a year means 150 games a year  times 5.5 miles per game =  825 miles per year… and we have been doing this for six years or 4,950 miles…. We have walked Los Angeles to New York 1.8 times!  No wonder we are tired but in pretty good shape! Great exercise.

Sue was caught cheating today!  You are not supposed to have professionals assist you but she had the “golf duck” who was quaking little hints as she was attempting to swing!  Diane and Lisa spent the day at CSULB getting signed up for classes and getting oriented!  Lisa will be here ono the 24th of August!

At Happy Hours we terrorized Karen (or tried too) by bringing the gang to her table and singing happy birthday!  It’s just something we have to do!

We lost power again this evening from 6 until about 9. After happy hour we came home and got Hannah, Lisa, and Diane and headed for One Hung Low’s (Panda Palace) for a great dinner of Chinese food.  We had Vicky and Del join us which made for a lively evening.  Family and friends are great!  Their food at Panda Palace is always super!  Afterwords is was approaching 9:00 when we got home so we talked and decided to miss dancing at Santa Ana Elks….  Something we never miss but family is too important!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
