Saturday Was Busy

We rested from all the graduations and then decided to go to the Himalayan Grille for lunch! We met the chef who turned out to be very interesting. We tried a new dish which was a vegetable dumplings in a tomato/onion sauce… Wow!  It was great!

Great food!

Diane and family joined us in the afternoon to do some visiting.  We sat for a couple of hours and then decided to let Pat rest. We decided to go to the beach and walk around so Pat could “crash”.  It was decided that Cold Stone Creamery was a required destination!  More calories…..

At the pier

At the pier we took a walk… It was a fantastic day

The beach was full

The beach was full… The water was 53 degrees

After the visit, we decided to go to the Garden Grove Elks (7:30) and do some dancing to Jusstuss.  Great evening with the Kuhns, Branders, and Zaitz!

Brad and Susie-Q

One of our favorite songs….  Blue Suede Shoes…  (Suede leather is made from the underside of the skin, primarily lamb, although goat, calf and deer are commonly used. Splits from thick hides of cow and deer are also sueded, but, due to the fibre content, have a shaggy nap. Because suede does not include the tough exterior skin layer, suede is less durable but softer than standard (“full-grain”) leather. Its softness, thinness, and pliability make it suitable for clothing and delicate uses; suede was originally used for women’s gloves. Suede leather is also popular in upholstery, shoes, bags, and other accessories, and as a lining for other leather products. Due to its textured nature and open pores, suede may become dirty and quickly absorb liquids.)
