The Last Day Of 2022!

Fact:  In 1982, Canada Post assigned Santa the postal code of H0H 0H0. It has received an annual letter volume of 1 million ever since, addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole, H0H 0H0, Canada.

We jumped into the swim spa first thing this morning and spent an hour soaking in the hot water, getting ready for the day.

Time to ring in the new year!

Around 10:45 AM, we headed for the hairdresser, where I got my ear lowered, and Mary got quaffed for the party tonight.  I returned home alone and took care of some laundry, moved the tables back to their normal locations, and did some general cleanup.

Upon picking up Dr. Mary, we zoomed to the local TJs and picked up supplies for New Year’s Day, as we will be having guests.

At the beginning of the year, I made a resolution to lose 15 pounds. Only 20 more to go!

Irene and Brenda came by at 5:15 PM, and they joined us on our way to the Santa Ana Elks.

We paused at the Elks entrance for a quick photo.

I did not take very many pictures, and I was enjoying the evening.  Unfortunately, the band got louder, and the evening went on, so we departed at about 10:30 PM for home.  It was raining pretty hard, but fortunately, my drink of the night was a Cuba Libra Mocktail, and I was in perfect shape to drive through this rain.

Fun with the gang!

The last dance of the year!

I held Mary very carefully and we waltzed into the sunset!

The biggest reason to stay up until midnight on December 31 is to make sure 2022 leaves.  We all stayed up until 12:04 AM and then crashed; it was a long day.

My New Year’s resolution was to read more, so I turned on the subtitles on my TV.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
