It’s Coming Together!

Wednesday: Halfway to the weekend! Enjoy your day!

We headed to Casa Valencia about 7:30 AM so we could meet the plumber.  We found out that our outside spigot was “soft water,” meaning if we continue watering them, they could die.  I was going to replumb the situation, but I was smart and asked the local plumber.  $2,000, and he worked all day, 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM, and all is well. So we not only have soft water, but we also have 130-degree water on demand anywhere in the house!

Mary did errands bringing home an additional bar stool and looking for some fireplace equipment!  While she was doing errands, I decided to use my wire rack/shelving in the storage shed.  It was in the closet at the old house, but this will do nicely.

Everything I need for the gardening activities in a single spot!

Thank goodness for the Makita power tools.  I had a grinder/cutter and two drills out with me, and things went pretty fast!

The shelves are up, and I still have room!

While I was working, I remembered I needed a hose bib on the west side of the house, and while the plumber was plumbing, I asked him to run a second PEX line from the city water to the side yard; it was easy!

Did You Know? Cross-linked Polyethylene (PEX) is a plastic material made from medium- or high-density polyethylene that is modified to have improved properties such as enhanced heat resistance and long-term strength and stability that make it an excellent choice for use in service lines, hot- and cold potable water distribution.

We stayed around the house all afternoon, only leaving for a short time to get some necessary supplies, and we visited Jan for a bit.  We were pooped, so we headed home after the visit.

We jumped in the swim spa and soaked for a good 90 minutes before crashing.
