Today was chores day! We had our coffee by the firepit, walked the garden, and went to work getting ready for Saturday’s egg coloring tradition. I spent two hours reviewing my tax information for the new tax person; we are to see him at 1:00 pm.
The doorbell went off, and to our surprise, our vertical garden arrived. We quickly opened the box and read the instructions; correction, MAry read the instructions.

These will sit on the back patio and are on rollers so we can move them around.
Did You Know? GreenStalk is a patented, soil-based vertical garden entirely made in East Tennessee from high-quality, thick, UV-resistant, BPA, BPS & PVC-free plastic. A 5-Tier GreenStalk Vertical Garden comes with 30 planting pockets where you can plant various vegetables, herbs, flowers, and strawberries. We’ve successfully grown giant vegetables like tomatoes, zucchini, corn, and peppers. Mix and match your favorite vegetables to fill all 30 planting pockets.
Each tier holds one cubic foot of potting mix and has 12 drainage holes so excess water can drain. You can redirect or cap off excess water by using the GreenStalk Mover. Fill the top water reservoirs to the 5-tier mark whenever they need to be watered.

This should be fun!
We traveled to the OC airport, where he is located, and got our terrible news over two hours. I left the meeting in shock, hoping he had made a minor math error. There is some information I owe him before the final answer arrives. If there is no change, I will join the ranks of people experiencing homelessness.
We returned home about 4:00 pm and freshened up for a 4:45 pm departure for the Garden Grove Elks, where we met up with Iris & Will, Vicky & Jim, and Ed Roberts for an evening of dining and dancing. It was nice to see the same wait staff, many of whom came to visit with Vicky and me. We introduced our new partners, and we were welcomed back with open arms!
During the dance, we got a text from Robin and Bob. We are going to the last night of Catal at Downtown Disney. It will be a sad evening after so many memories were generated there. Sue and I were the first customers at Catal twenty-two years ago and went there every Christmas Eve for nineteen years. We hope they will reopen in a year as a high-end Mexican Restaurant, and the same staff will return.

Robin and Bob were there this evening and made a reservation for the four of us on their last day!
We headed home at about 8:30 pm, and Scout and I did our evening walk in the garden. He goes first to ensure no elephants are hiding in the bushes; he is a thoughtful baby!

An evening stroll is needed before going to bed.
Mary had a movie going, but I just hunkered down and drifted off; after all, I had four beers at the Elks! Zero alcohol but a lot of liquid!
