Super Bowl Sunday; Let’s Go To The Movies!

Super Bowl is a waste of time for us (paying people millions to throw around a little rubber ball), so we went to the movies and saw Avatar.  We were there with Chuck and Lisa and eight other people.  Perfect time to go!!  The movie was excellent as we saw it in 3-D at the Orange 26.  It was the first time we went to the movies with our hearing aids on.  Mary went to -8, and I lived through it at -4 on the Apple iPhone controller!

Oh, I had TWO of their delicious and totally unhealthy hot dogs; Mary munched on gummy bears and M&M’s.  All in all, it was an unhealthy experience.

Maybe I should have waited for a Subway sandwich. Subway is definitely the healthiest fast food available because they make you get out of the car.

We dropped Chuck and Lisa off at the house as they has a couple of errands to do before the game started.  We went to Jan’s house and visited her.  We share some wine and talked for an hour before we departed for home.

Mary and Jan

Departing Jan’s, we stopped at Ralphs and got some Super Bowl snacks, including a pizza, some Reese’s Pieces, a vegetable tray, and whipped cream for the million berries Mary thinks she has hidden away in the freezer!

We watched the game, but at halftime, I departed because I could not understand what the singer was saying, and it looked as if she were being attacked by 1000 sperm cells.  In addition, I could not understand a single word she said!  I thought the halftime was horrible and didn’t represent what I would have liked to have seen.  I came back after that mess was over!  All I can say was ICKY!!  NOTE: Opinions are like posteriors; everyone has one.

What kind of tea do they serve football players at the Super Bowl?  Penaltea!

What dessert do they serve at the Super Bowl?  Sundays.

We watched the game and ate the goodies; I enjoyed the goodies more than the game.

We watched “The Shooter” until 9:00 PM, and I crashed; Mary followed me a few minutes later. We both were out like lights!

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about Friday night and seeing the kids all having fun; it made me (and Mary) feel really good.  Family is very important.
