Another Busy Day

Fact: Sushi has plenty of health benefits.  If you’re curious about sushi’s nutrition facts, you’ll be happy to know that sushi is swimming in health benefits.  The most apparent nutrient is omega-3 fatty acids, a heart-healthy fat that most fish and seafood have.  Sushi is also primarily low in fat and high in protein.  Nori, which is found in many sushi, is rich in vitamins A, B-6, and C, as well as iodine.

The sun rises, and the day begins!  We are off like a shot in the Silver Fox to an appointment in Los Alamitos with Dr. Rucker.  The good news was that the pulmonary system was OK, but he suggested losing some weight to help my breathing.  So, 190, here I come!

While we were gone, we left Scout outside to supervise the contractors.  Scout had his own personal electric fan blowing over his bed!

“I am not spoiled, daddy!”

Before leaving, I loaded the washing machine, and Mary captured a photo.

The new washing machine/dryer is amazingly quiet!

After the appointment, we picked up Irene at her car repair facility and brought her home with us.  She borrowed our van while her car is in the shop, and we are happy to help!

This vehicle has been outstanding for us!

Mary’s granddaughter, Mega, was scheduled to come down and have her eyes checked at 2:00 PM, so we quickly straightened up the house (we were in the middle of putting up Halloween decorations).  We remembered that last year we had photos which will help us this year to place all the decorations. Take a gander!

Mary did the eye examination, and all was well.

Diane and Megan came to our house since they had not seen it and joined us for dinner.  I found out that Megan likes sushi so I showed her my fish tank!

Well, maybe not really!

I asked my Sushi Chef what his favorite roll was.  He said payroll.

I had just ordered a sushi-making kit from Amazon for Mary.  After we found out Megan likes sushi, we gave it to her!  Now she can learn how and teach us!

Megan and Diane visited us!  We had a wonderful visit.

The corners of the planters are almost done, and that took quite a while to set up and make all the cuts.

After the kids departed, we decided to visit Jan and bring her some of the remaining cherry pie we had for dessert.  Good choice, or we would have eaten it ourselves.  We got home a little after 9:00 PM and crashed.

It was a good day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
