Fact:  The most common birth date in the United States, excluding leap years, is 22 May.

Dang, another dash to Los Alamitos in the morning fog!  Doctors to the left of me; doctors to the right of me; we are invested with doctors.  Oops!  Mary is a doctor; I recant my wild statement!

We were “up” at 5:00 AM and ready to go at 6:45 AM so we could make our first appointment at 7:30 AM with my dermatologist.  Another biopsy, another day!  Soon, I will have nothing left to biopsy!

I know this parking lot well!

One down, one to go.  We had 90 minutes to kill, so we headed to Hof’s Hut for breakfast.  This restaurant is sometimes called “The Capps Bar & Grill” it is a long story!

I said to the waitress, “Those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand!”

An omelet and a latte; life is good!  I did two eggs and a hamburger patty!  Also GOOD!

Whilst we were dining, a text flew in from Colleen.  She and her hubby climbed a 6,000′ mountain on their vacation.  They can almost see forever!

I think they said it was Mount Killamanjaro!

We returned to the medical center and got the heart doctor’s news.  I have a blockage, and the doctor wants an angiogram performed in the next month or so.  I plan to do it myself and get the training from YouTube.  Until then, I am supposed to take a nap every afternoon and be hand-fed a diet of chocolate bonbons.

After getting home, we checked our power box as Tom, our handyman, did the final paint job.  It is now ready for inspection.

Looks good!!

The rest of the day, Mary worked doing chores, and I cleaned up the garage, emphasizing the workbench!

At 4:00 PM, we departed for Downtown Disney so we could meet Robin and Bob to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary!

I remember it well; I had the father-daughter dance with Robin!

We got there early, which allowed us to visit Santiago, the head bartender and good friend!

Robin, Bob, and Nick joined us at about 5:30 PM, and we got a great table in the back of the restaurant, where it was pretty quiet.

Mary got a president!

“The pose” is mandatory for all such occasions!

Smile, you’re on TV

We had a boggle of champagne that the kids brought from home.  We toasted, giggled, and toasted and giggled again!

We got our picture taken “professionally.”

Then came the flaming dessert!  We broke our planned diet, but once a day is OK, right?

So much fun!

We stayed quite a while, savoring the moments.

It was a fantastic evening!

We headed home around 9:00 PM and crashed.  Today we have been on the go!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
