Off And Running

Fact: People are more creative in the shower. When we take a warm shower, we experience an increased dopamine flow that makes us more creative.

We heard the roosters about 6:30 AM, so we got up and sent Scout The Wonder Dog to chase the chickens away. We had to go to Long Beach for minor surgery, so we departed at 11:00 AM and stopped by Old Ranch for a bite to eat.

The lunch was delicious, and we had a glass of wine; that was a potential pain reliever.  The menu was interesting.  I told Mary that I once had a pelican curry. It tasted OK, but the bill was enormous.

The doctor took just a few minutes to remove the offending skin, and then we waited almost forty minutes for the Mohs procedure to be finished. The doc got everything on the first try, yeah.  Squamous cell carcinoma is something you want to take care of immediately before it spreads.

I watched him sew the hand up, and it was interesting; I could not feel a thing.

I gots an oweey!

We headed directly home via CVS and Ralph’s market. At Ralph’s, we got five mounts of beef for our need stew will make in the next couple of days. We also got Reese’s Peanutbutter Cups for Ms. Mongel; she has a sweet tooth.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are an American candy consisting of a chocolate cup filled with peanut butter, marketed by The Hershey Company. They were created on November 15, 1928, by H. B. Reese, a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey. Reese left his job with Hershey to start his own candy business. Reese’s generates more than $2 billion in annual sales for The Hershey Company, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are number one on the list of top-selling candy brands.

Does she look happy or what??

“Reese’s, for me???”

We got home, and Scout, The Wonder Dog, was awaiting us with a complete report on chickens and elephants he had chased away.

“Quiet, I am on duty!”

Mary was not feeling totally up to snuff, so we had a bowl of soup and some fruit. We read from our readers, and then Mary crashed. I cleaned up the kitchen and then off to the office to continue working on the website.

I found a great picture directly from the 1950s!

We enjoyed the 57 Ford.
