Good Bye 2021; Do Not Come Back!

What are two things dinosaurs can’t have for dinner? Breakfast and lunch.

The forecast says no rain today; how can that be? We will check out the house and make sure all is well after the past three days of rainfall. Then all we have to do is get ready to go to the Santa Ana Elks this evening.

While working around the house, Mary told me she and another surgeon were sitting down having lunch just before she retired. She said they both were engaged in a conversation when all of a sudden, the other surgeon started laughing hysterically. A dermatologist walks over to their table to join them. He asked the two surgeons, “what’s so funny?” Mary replied, ” you wouldn’t understand. It’s an inside joke. ”

We sat with Connor and Josie (our grandson), Bob and Donna, Iris and Will, and Ed and Betty. The next table will be the Capps, Branders, Ash’s, and Ennis’s.

Great fun ahead!

We both went to the beauty parlor at 11:00 AM; it took her 20 minutes to make me look barely presentable. I did remove the Ralph’s bag off my head after I departed the salon. Mary sat in the chair and said, “Come back in two hours!”   She looked amazing when I returned.

On the way home, I announced, “May all your troubles last as long as your New Years’ resolutions!”

Mary had her hair done in the Great Gatsby style, which took about three hours, so I took her to “lunch” at Rockwell’s before we came home to get gussied up for the evening’s festivities. On yes, I forgot, I had to be pretty also!

I had to be pretty!

Join the fun at our website. We had a load of fun with our friends and danced until the wee hours, about 11:30 PM. I was lucky to be there with the most beautiful lady in the lodge.

Just us?

Connor joined us for a while; at least I know he had a good dinner!

Connor joined us this evening.

Serious smooching occurred throughout the evening. There was also some serious dancing.

Smooching time!

We danced, she danced, we danced; all evening long!

We got home about three minutes to midnight and were asleep three minutes after midnight.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
