OK, it is Monday, and that means music from Paul’s youth! So, without further ado, here is today’s selection! Mockin’ Bird Hill was a great little tune that I enjoyed in the early 1950s.
We headed to the living room and attacked the Christmas boxes, but we realized some were missing, so we investigated our storage upstairs. Low and behold, we found about 15 boxes of Christmas items. We worked until about 10:00 AM when we went to Home Depot to get some additional lights for our tree.
What have we done>Fifty plus containers of Christmas, and we only did about fifteen today!
Upstairs we have several storage areas. Mary braved the darkness and brought out the containers; I provided the flashlights!
After going to Home Depot, we stopped at Rockwell’s Bakery for lunch and liquid encouragement to proceed with the decorating efforts! Our waitress/bartender was overheard saying her family was from Greece. We queried her about that, and it turns out she speaks fluent Greek. Irene better get ready for a nice lunch at Rockwell’s! We got a list of the best Greek restaurants in the area!
we love the bar area in the morning, but later in the day, it becomes BUSY with the kids. It is too noisy for us!
We walked Five Miles and ran into Mr. Snowman on the way. He was doing well for the temperature being in the high 70s.
Back to unpacking the decorations, we found goodies that Mary’s kids made over the years. We decided to send some to the kids, put up some items, and donate those not sighed or in poor condition.
Scout barked, meaning the mail person had arrived. We got out first Christmas Card of the season today from Vicky’s kids! We have just the place to put them!
We had a small dinner of leftovers, but by 6:00 PM, we were shot. We watched a movie on TV and fell asleep before 7:00 PM! Robin called at 8:00 PM, and I answered the videophone in the dark only with the light from the TV on. Decorating is a challenging task!
