Our First Christmas Event; The Alley Cats

Remember not to leave a fire burning in your fireplace this Christmas Eve, or else you might wake up to a Crisp Kringle.

Up and at it bright and early; we know this because we beat the sunrise!  Into the swim spa and down goes the coffee.  This day is going to be another fantastic day to share with friends!

I began wheeling in Mary’s decorations and filled up the entranceway with about twenty containers.  The boxes looked enormous in her old house, but they looked smaller in our new home. We will be busy for several days setting everything up! Tomorrow I will begin rolling in the other thirty containers from my place.

Mary fixed potato pancakes for breakfast and, using her culinary skills, threw in some stuffing from Thanksgiving.  Those were GREAT pancakes!

We then watched Dr. Stanley on TV and got our week’s message; his sermon was about the Trinity; finally, I understood the concept!

We walked Five Miles before returning home to get ready to go to the first Christmas event of the season!  Vicky got us tickets to see the Alley Cats at the Curtis Theater!  You can visit us here at http://lilesnet.com/Christmas2021/2021-11-28-alley-cats/index.htm

We are awaiting the doors to open.

We were in for super music and a lot of laughs and giggles.

They were in great form after almost twenty months off work

Over to the Lazy Dog for some serious comfort food.

After the performance, we went to the Lazy Dog Cafe.

What a collection of people!  We were happy to see Yollie coming with Vicky!

What a crew!

This was Mary’s first experience with the Alley Cats, and she enjoyed their performance.

Just little ol’ us!

We attempted a Christmas Hallmark movie but failed miserably. We returned home with our tummy full and let Scout out for a romp in the grass.

Good night all!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
