Thursday; Another Busy Day!

Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.

We were up and headed to Casa Valencia early so we could get work done before having to leave for “Girls Night Out.”  We are down to four boxes in the kitchen/den, a magnificent effort on behalf of Dr. Mary.  She worked hard yesterday while I was running around the city!

Work was stacking up!

At 11:15 AM, we jumped into The Silver Fox and scooted our way to the Santa Ana Elks Lodge for lunch with Sydney, her father, and his lady.  Robin joined us there, and we had a great time.  Gail Peterson also joined the happy crowd.

Sydney brought her father and his lady to lunch!

He and I had a lot in common, both working at NAA/Rockwell over the years.

Lunch was terrific!

By 1:00 PM, we were home again, with Robin attacking various parts of the house.  The ladies re-arranged some furniture which made things nicer.  We were getting tired, so at 5:00 PM, we called Jan Mongel, and I went to get her, a whole two miles away.  She got to see the mess and was amazed at how much we were accomplishing.

Yup! That is the case with Mary & Robin!

The four of us killed off a bottle of wine, and after a bit, I took Jan home, and then back to work we went.  At 8:00 PM were too tired to wiggle, so we went home, a whole 1.1 miles away.

Tomorrow we are taking our cars to the doctor for their checkups! Mary is getting good at this moving stuff, and she will be perfect when she begins moving next week.  I get a “To-Do List” every day!

…but the place is such a mess I forget where I placed it!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
