“No man is a failure who has friends.” — It’s a Wonderful Life
We planned to do nothing today and we did well executing the plan! We binge-watched watched Christmas movies all day. Between the TV and just sitting talking to my bride we reminisce about growing up. These are mostly from my memories but Sue also remembers many of these things as she grew up!
This morning we got a call from our Son Joe who asked if I had opened my birthday presents. We had just NOT had time. He ordered me to find the one from his family and we did right then (he can be commanding!). Wow, a new F4 lens 18-105 MM for the Sony A6000 camera he gave me. Outstanding as this makes the camera capable of anything!
Recently at Catal, we got together and celebrated family!
We are blessed to have Robin and her family, Michele and her family, Joe and his family, and Colleen and her family in our lives. Parents could not ask for a finer set of “young people”. Add to that Pete and his family, Mitch, and our wonderful grandchildren and the aches and pains of being 75 are well worth it! Thank you all!
OK, before you groan and say all Hallmark’s are alike, think about this!
The first was “Christmas Break-In”; Summary: Izzy is an energetic 9-year-old. Overscheduled and running late, Izzy’s parents can’t pick her up on-time the last day of school before Christmas break. A blizzard complicates the matter, but not as much as a pair of bad guys who are freezing in an ice cream truck. The school’s janitor is kidnapped by the intruders, and it’s up to Izzy to save the day.
The second movie was “The Christmas Project” Summary: A writer looks back on his memorable 1986 Christmas, dealing with brothers, bullies, first love, pregnancy and family “elving.”
The third movie was “The Christmas Chronicles”. Summary: The story of sister and brother, Kate and Teddy Pierce, whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about.
We must have some Christmas political humor!
