Where there’s a will, there’s a relative.
What a beautiful day, we should take a picture of it and send to Brian and Jan! It was 85 degrees and hardly a cloud in the sky. I piddled in the garage getting Bob’s birthday present ready and then we had lunch.
Today was a protein day as I whooped up a pan full of bacon (beef and pork), sausage, cut up a red and yellow bell pepper, and through in a slice of ham and two eggs to make it just right. My count was a little over 60 grams of protein!
The garden was my next target as I needed to pick figs for Marcia so I climbed into the fig tree and picked some real good ones. I also red that if some of the figs on the tree do not ripen, it’s probably because the tree needs water so it got a good hour of deep watering.
I needed some alligator clips the other day and I found a few but not enough so I turned to Amazon and this morning they were delivered.
The outside temperature turned to 84 degrees so I came into the cool house … 80 degrees but no humidity … we watched some TV before cleaning up at 3:00 PM to go to the Santa Ana Elks at 4:00 PM for another birthday celebration! Join the fun!
Remember to click the pictures to see the larger photo. The derned thing even played a version of Happy Birthday as it went around and around!
In our little group tonight we had Will who is curious and before we could say anything the magic little candle-lit plastic cake thing-a-mabob was in pieces. You can get these on line at Amazon.
It was a funny little device which I seen on Facebook but never live and in person. We danced and dined and the buffet was really good … the Cod was outstanding and the prime ribs perfect. There went the old diet! I start again tomorrow.
When Bob opened his present, he saw the calipers and Iris, always the inquisitive one, needed an explanation!
Did You Know? A caliper (British spelling also calliper, or in plurale tantum sense a pair of calipers) is a device used to measure the distance between two opposite sides of an object. Many types of calipers permit reading out a measurement on a ruled scale, a dial, or a digital display. But a caliper can be as simple as a compass with inward or outward-facing points. The tips of the caliper are adjusted to fit across the points to be measured and then the caliper is then removed and the distance read by measuring between the tips with a measuring tool, such as a ruler. It is used in many fields such as mechanical engineering, metalworking, forestry, woodworking, science and medicine.
We stayed until 8:00 PM and then headed home to watch some TV before crashing … We had our tookies and went to bed at midnight.
