Wednesday: Another Day In The Hospital

Paul was feeling pretty good but had to eat “clear foods” because of the surgery.  Pretty bad stuff but after 18 hours without water or food, he was ready to eat anything.

We waited the morning and afternoon to be cleared by the three doctors involved.  The doctors knew us and got us out of there about 5:00 PM.  Irene was with us the whole day.  Good friends are such wonderful blessings!

Too much reading!

We called Mike when we were cleared and he also came up and met us for dinner at CPK.

Hooray! Paul has escaped!

Paul was thinking Chinese Chicken Salad and a glass of wine… Paul thought he had died  and gone to heaven when the first gulp of wine went down.  The meal was not as Paul had expected as the pain from the operation was pretty bad.  More pain meds!

Good friends keep us smiling

Paul tried to smile… Needed to crash

We got home at 7:00 PM and Paul crashed.  He had the chills and didn’t get up until about 3:00 AM when he “played” with the computer for and hour before re-crashing. It was so nice to be home!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
