Rainy Day; Good Time To Recover!

Mary is still recovering and it is probably a broken rib.  In most cases, a fractured rib will heal on its own in about six weeks. Doctors no longer prescribe compression wraps for rib fractures, because they can restrict breathing, leading to pneumonia, or even a partial lung collapse. Pain management is important, especially in the first few days after an injury.

We have two new rules in the house: 1) whenever we get up in the middle of the night, the lights come on, and 2) we charge the Scouts lighting system one hour before bedtime so it will glow all night long!!

We spent the day doing very little!  Mary was horizontal most of the day, working on thank-you notes and other tasks requiring low energy.    I spent time cleaning up my website in the office and straightening things up!

I fixed a nice breakfast of egg bites (from scratch) and a dinner of beans,  peaches, and freshly baked bread!

We watched TV and finally crashed around 9:00 pm!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
