Reparations, my arse!
Today we just worked around the house, awaiting the cleaning folks to arrive around 3:00 pm. However, I took a LONG trip on the freeway to get my photos from the Endodontist. I am a dummy and took the 241 instead of the 261 and ended up in Laguna instead of Corona Del Mar.
Today, I saw a truck full of hair restorer tonic overturn and spill on the freeway. As I passed by, the police were combing the area.
Before I left, I moved several boxes from the patio back to the She Shed as it is challenging to go through old stuff and not worth the mental turmoil. The She Shed shall remain a storage facility.

Only an idea!
While I was gone, Greg and his friend Mike came by to drop off Ophelia, a lovely espaliered Rubber Tree that was getting too big for Greg’s patio!
What type of tree doesn’t need to worry about birth control? A rubber tree.
Did You Know? Espalier is the horticultural and ancient agricultural practice of controlling woody plant growth for fruit production by pruning and tying branches to a frame. Plants are frequently shaped in formal patterns, flat against a structure such as a wall, fence, or trellis, and also plants that have been shaped in this way.
Espaliers, trained into flat two-dimensional forms, are used not only for decorative purposes but also for gardens in which space is limited. In a temperate climate, espaliers may be trained next to a wall that can reflect more sunlight and retain heat overnight or oriented so that they absorb maximum sunlight by training them parallel to the equator. These two strategies extend the season so the fruit has more time to mature.
Mike, Greg’s friend, volunteered his pickup to bring Ophelia to us.

A new plant is arriving!
Using a dolly, they placed it on the patio adjacent to the swing, and it looked terrific there. It will have morning sun but be protected from the searing afternoon heat by the wall.
Did You Know? Rubber plants represent abundance, happiness, and wealth. According to the teachings of feng shui, the rubber plant’s round leaves make it an ideal candidate to be placed in a corner to soften the sharp angles.
The rubber plant has very thick broad leaves with a large surface area. Because of the large surface area, it’s perfect for purifying the air. Proper rubber plant care is thought to produce plants that pick up pollutants and chemicals, absorb them, and turn them into harmless compounds.

Delivered, safe, and sound!
Ladies, this is Mary and she is Ophelia!

Mary and Ophelia meet for the first time!
During my travels this morning, I got a text from Vicky asking if Mary and I wanted to see Trace Adkins at Cerritos. We signaled affirmative; it should be a good show!

We are going two-stepping.
We puttered around the house most of the afternoon, but while the cleaning folks were here, we went out and had lunch at Aces Bar and Grille, where we met some guys a little younger than us, and we played the Juke Box for them, we may see them again next week.

Aces for an early dinner.
At 6:45 om, we headed to the Tustin Seniors Center for an evening of dancing. The music was perfect, and we danced quite a bit. We sat with folks we had known for a long time. We danced until almost 10:00 pm and then returned home, where we went “lights out” in minutes.
