We were up and going early and enjoyed our cup of coffee by the fire pit, watching the fog gradually lift from the ground and disappear.
Today, we are doing brunch at the Santa Ana Elks. They had a great selection of food, and the place was loaded. I had my beer instead of champagne; it felt odd, but that’s life.
Just us!
We had twelve of us at our table, and Irene joined the fun! The Secret Ingredient of Happiness is Dinner with Friends.
What do you call a rabbit with fleas? Bugs Bunny!
Mary got behind Nick to make sure his hair was straight. The Duda’s are going to Bob’s Mom’s house at 3:00 pm, so they had plenty of time to come and join us.
The Easter Bunny was roaming around the facility,y so Mary gave him a “wolf whistle,” and he came bounding over to see what was going on!
How do bunnies stay healthy? Eggercise!
The table was packed, and we had a great time telling ad retelling stories.
We are headed out, but we needed a picture by the blow-up bunny!
The Dudas came home with us to pass some time before going to Whittier. They were great and helped us finish off the Easter Tree. We have new lights that change colors using a remote control. Now, we do NOT have to change lights for every holiday!
The tree is now officially up! Next time, it will be dressed in red, white, and blue!
Becky and Dan came by for a visit, and we gossiped for a good hour! They were going to a Duck’s game at the Pond about five miles away. We got the scoop on her upcoming marriage; we will be going to Ireland in Spring 2024.
Becky and Dan are a cute couple. It is very nice to have them visit us; we enjoyed catching up on things.
Mama Mary, Beck, and Dan!
After Becky and Dan departed, we went to Home Depot and got the necessary soil for the vertical planter. We stopped by Jan’s and visited for a few minutes. We invited her over to see the garden. We decided we would not continue our daily visits unless Jan starts to go out, as we are enabling her to stay home, which is unhealthy. We shall see if she comes over at 11:00 am tomorrow!
After they departed, we put together the vertical container!
Five layers each of which is 12″ tall; five times six pockets per layer and there is room for thirty plants!!
It was finished in about an hour and was ready to go! The casters made it easy to move around and the rotary table was on brings making it super easy to rotate the sides so they each face the sun for a while!
We watched a movie before crashing; it has been a full day!
