Good Bye Week; Hello Weekend!

Fact: Mr. Bean has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. – Rowan Atkinson has made generations laugh at his goofy antics as Mr. Bean. However, the Englishman is actually quite intelligent, and most people don’t know that Atkinson has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Oxford up his sleeve.

Friday was a “get ready day.”  We stayed at home in the morning and puttered around the house.  Our electrician called, and he will be on-site on St. Patrick’s Day, and it will take two days to add all the electrical goodies we have asked for.

We walked the garden, and I finished off the drip system for the tomatoes in the front yard.  While doing that, I managed to wet myself trying to fix a sprinkler head; damn, that water was cold!

Mid-morning, we had a little bite to eat and then proceeded to fill our pillboxes; oh, how exciting! Mary calls chewable vitamins: “Bite”-amins.

There are 13 essential vitamins — vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and the B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, B6, B12, and folate).

We have pills for everything! Older people’s pastime, filling the pillbox.

Scout was outside performing his new hobby, training sheep!  He was getting bored just herding them around the yard.

Scout is creative

At 1:00 PM, we began getting ready for our one-hour plus trip to Altadena.

We stopped at Jan’s for about thirty minutes before hitting the freeway1

As members of Old Ranch, we have reciprocity agreements with other clubs. We called ahead and were invited to sit in the bar/dining room at the Altadena Town & Country Club until the dance started.

I had a ticket a few years back, and I told the judge, “Judge, 60% of my traffic tickets are bogus!’  Well, he responded with, “Repeat infractions?’  Being a smartass, I responded with 3/5 of my traffic tickets are bogus1”!

Traffic was difficult

When we got there, the dining room was empty, so we had it to ourselves.  Gio was our waiter, and he was funny.  We ended up having lunch there.

We were waiting for the dance at the dance.

At 7:00 PM, we headed upstairs and joined the Rondeliers for this evening’s dance.  The music was fantastic, and we danced until we were too pooped to pop!

We rocked and rolled for three hours!

There was no traffic on the way home; we made it in about 40 minutes.  210 -> 57 –> 91 –> 55 –> Katella; it was easy!

We sat with friends and giggled and laughed all night long!

We got home at 11:00 Pm and decided to jump into the swim spa.  We talked and had a glass of wine before going o bed at midnight.  Today was a good day!

Yes indeed!
