We Are Recovered!

Facts: Pigs are considered to be the world’s fifth-smartest animal. –  Ah, pigs. They roll around in muck and filth, eat any scraps left around for them, and for some, are quite delicious. That’s not all, though; it turns out that they’re incredibly intelligent! Pigs can solve puzzles better than chimpanzees, and they have some of the best long-term memories known in animals.

The last of the wash is now done, and we started the week a day late, but that is OK! I remember when I was in college, I used to do my roommate’s laundry, and he used to do mine. I guess we both were maid for each other.

Today was going to be warm in the ’80s. We ‘walked in the garden” and made mental notes of what needed to be done over the next few days. We love our new home and the yard!

It was a glorious day; we dined outside.

Mary made a new dish called Balsamic Chicken. It went into the slow cooker and would be ready in eight hours.

It was ready at 8:00 PM, and it was delicious!

We went shopping at TJ’s, getting some wine and goodies for tonight’s meal. We decided to visit Jan Mopngel and have lunch with her! She got a WaBa Bowl, and we took over some TJ salads. We had a lot of fun!

WaBa Grill is a fast-casual restaurant franchise that offers healthy rice bowls, plates, and salads that are low calorie, low carb, and high in protein. The company was established in 2006 by Kyle Lee, Brian Ham, and Eric Lee in Southern California, and as of 2021 has over 200 units across California and Arizona. It is best known for serving an array of healthy options made with the highest quality ingredients like fresh, never-frozen chicken, marinated ribeye steak, wild-caught salmon, plant-based steak, organic tofu, and jumbo shrimp, all grilled over an open fire.

We went to the gym and did an hour’s worth of exercise, and it felt good! By the time we got home, we needed the swim spa! We spend about an hour in there before crashing. Remember: If fitness came in a bottle, everyone would have a great body.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
