Wednesday Is Here; Goodbyes Are Neear

Fact: Rednecks have manners:

1.  Never take a beer to a job interview.
2.  Always identify people in your yard before shooting at them.
3.  It’s considered poor taste to take a cooler to church.
4.  If you have to vacuum the bed, it is time to change the sheets.
5.  Even if you’re confident that you are included in the will, it is still considered tacky to drive a U-Haul to the funeral home.

It’s Wednesday, so we have to get up early to clean the house so the house cleaners can come!  We got done just before they arrived.  Domi and Maria started in the office, and we retreated to the office when they were done.

We decided to go shopping and have breakfast out, so we headed to Rockwell’s and shared a veggie omelet.  We had tea to drink, me iced and Mary hot!  The whole meal was less than $30, wow!

From there, we went to Ralphs market searching for corned beef, and alas, they didn’t have anything.  From there, we went to Michael’s to get a plant for the dining room.  We made two more stops before we got home, CVS and Albertson’s.  Finally, at Albertson’s, we found the corned beef, and we procured twelve pounds for our party on the 20th.

We returned home and did some chores, including battening down the hatches for the expected rainfall coming Thursday or Friday.

We rested for a bit before freshening up and going to dinner at Patty’s Place in Seal Beach.  Chuck, our bartender, is leaving for North Carolina, and we wanted to say goodbye.  When we told Vicky and Robin, they wanted to join us!  We had a great dinner and said goodbye to Chuck.  We will have him and Lisa over for dinner before they take off and go.

Chuck will be missed!

Miss Vicky always brings sunshine into our lives!

Vicky is always the life of the party.

Mary was not happy, nor were we,  knowing we won’t see Chuck at Patty’s anymore.  She did enjoy her steak until I said, “The Wooky steaks for a surprise dinner are quite Chewy!”

Mary was sad about Chuck leaving Patty’s.

We headed home via the 22, arriving about 8:30 PM.  We watched a little news about the war and then crashed.  Tomorrow is another busy day!
