Work And Play, A Plan For The Day!

I don’t like to complain about the customer service of any business, but I didn’t appreciate being pushed over by the stockbroker when I asked him to check my balance.

Bright and early, I was off the Casa Valencia to do some last minutes preps for Tuesday’s move.  While there, I went to the post office because the folks that mailed me the Makita batteries asked for a signature!?  Then to the Salvation Army, we had three boxes/bags chocked full of donations from Mary’s garage.

I then went to Trader Joe’s for Two-Buck-Chuck!

Guess who went shopping?

Meanwhile, Mary was off doctoring the eyes of the needy.  She was home by 3:00 which was perfect as that gave us a chance for a short nap and then get ready to play!

A small group went to Old Ranch for the 4th of July party on the 2nd.

My lady and Diane enjoy all the conversations.

All of a sudden, everybody looked up!  “It’s a bird, it’s an airplane, no!  It’s Super Tall”

He gets all the pretty girls!

Yeah yeah, the gang’s all here!

The gang has arrived.

Time to dance.  Vicky told us of Robbin and Amber, and we were not totally surprised.  Whatever Amber needs, we will assist!

Vicky likes the tall fellows also!

The Liles’ arrived, and we got the infamous “Amy Smile.”

The Ay smile!

Naughty boy!  What did he do?… This time?

Lookin’ guilty!

The statue wandered all over, getting pictures taken.

Mary and Robin; a pair to draw to!

Hello ladies!

Hello girls!

Dance music started, and so did the girls.  Lov those line dances.

Line dancing is underway!

Irene cut a rug with Uncle Sam.

Irene enjoyed the dance!

Mary was amazed at the agility of this gentleman, for he was all over the place for hours.

Mary likes tall me (I am getting stilts tomorrow)

Joe and my favorite waiter posing with Miss Liberty.

Joe and Curley Joe!

Vicky toasted her popcorn.  Look at my smile; wow!

We love the Statue of Liberty!

The time was approaching for fireworks; we were ready.  We got the best seats in the house, both for dinner and for watching the fireworks.

It’s starting to get dark!

BANG!  The fireworks begin.

BANG! The show is underway!

The movie below is about one minute of the fifteen-twenty-minute display.  Amazing.

We headed home and crashed; no spa tonight.  Tomorrow is a workday!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
