My Santa Hat Comes Out Today! It’s December First!

What do you call people who are afraid of Santa Claus? Claustrophobic!

The “weather-guesser” says we are in for a significant winter storm starting Tuesday and going through Wednesday!  Today seems like a good time to batten down the hatches and make sure everything that is covered is also tied down!

Christmas Trivia: The famous Christmas song was written for Thanksgiving. James Lord Pierpont originally titled the song “One Horse Open Sleigh” and performed it at his church’s Thanksgiving service in the mid-nineteenth century. Then, in 1859, the song was republished under the name “Jingle Bells.”

When we go to Disneyland, we tie these on our shoes!

Yesterday I got my new laminator, just what I need, something else in the office! Well, I have many cards (medical, social security, Elks passes, etc.) that I have wanted to laminate and prevent dog-eared corners.  NOw they can be put in a “pouch” and run through the machine and voila, laminated!

Ready to go to work!

We got ready for the Alley Cats and headed to the Curtis Theater in Brea.  We met up with the gang and Amy, Jor, Charlie, and Alex.  The show was terrific!  An example is below!

Please visit the Christmas 2019 Website to see the picture from the adventure.

We went to Cedar Creek in Brea afterword and had a fantastic time.  We love the fact Amy and Joe fit right in with our friends, and we are so proud of Charlie and Alex, future DooWopers, perhaps?

After getting home, we watched “Santa Claus Three.”  Santa, aka Scott Calvin, is faced with double-duty: how to keep his new family happy, and how to stop Jack Frost from taking over Christmas.

Jack Frost was a pain in the patoot

A little more TV and we were ready for bed.  A fantastic day with family and friends!  We did have our tookies!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
