We Are Creeping Up On The Weekend!

Last night I dreamt of a beautiful walk on a sandy beach.  At least that explains the footprints I found in the cat litter box this morning.

The weekend is upon us, meaning we have GG Elks tonight, SA Elks on Saturday and Sunday, plus we will fit in pumpkin carving somewhere in between!

But first, a quick last minute trip to the market for carving supplies.  Votive candles, lighter (be don’t smoke so we do not use lighters), plastic table cloth in bright colors, and batteries for the power pumpkin carving tools!

Did You Know? A votive candle or prayer candle is a small candle, typically white or beeswax yellow, intended to be burnt as a votive offering in an act of Christian prayer, especially within the Anglican and Roman Catholic Christian denominations, among others

Love those Halloween pictures, and even Remy is ready to go in his “monkey suit” complete with bananas. They will be coming over Saturday for lunch and to carve the pumpkins!

Miss Lilly brightens our day!

Today we rested and watered everything as it was in the high 90’s again.  Colleen called from the interstate, she was in Indiana visiting relatives and needed to share some things with us!

We listen to the radio while doing our chores, and I did take a quick look at Facebook, where I got my giggle for today.  The democratic candidate list is the biggest collection of morons I have ever seen, and this proves it!

They should be popping out of a coo-coo clock!

In the afternoon, we napped. The air conditioning was set to 80, so there was almost a 20 degrees difference from the outside.

We jumped into the Silver Ghost and shot down the freeway eleven miles to the Garden Grove Elks, where we joined the branders for a light-hearted evening of fun with fellow elks.

My arms are too short to do a good selfie. We may need a selfie stick!

The costume parade was fun to watch!

We departed for home at about 9:30 PM and watched TV before crashing.  Tomorrow is a big day!!!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
