It’s always a good idea to make friends with babies. That’s free cake once a year for a lifetime.
We are up and ready for a great day. Remington’s family birthday party with his grandparents and great-grand parents plus family and friends at Old Ranch. Pete and Lisa are coming up, Robin and Bob are going to try and make it if they can change their flight from Alaska, and many others! It was great to see Connor again. Pictures were taken!!
Then we headed to Cerritos for an evening with Neil Sedaka and we are going back stage to meet with him! The show was wonderful…toe tapping and memory reminding!
Did You Know? Sedaka was born in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Mac Sedaka, was a taxi driver and a Sephardi Jew of Turkish origin. Sedaka’s mother, Eleanor (née Appel), was an Ashkenazi Jew of Polish and Russian origin. Sedaka’s grandparents came to the United States from Istanbul, then known as Constantinople, in 1910. He grew up in Brighton Beach, on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. Sedaka was a first cousin of the singer Eydie Gormé.
We headed home and watched some TV and devoured our tookies before crashing.
