Sunday; A Day Of Rest

I want to be something really scary for Halloween this year so I’m dressing up as a phone battery at 2%

We are definitely taking it easy today.  We had breakfast and then I went to the market to begin to get all the pumpkins we need for next Saturday. It’s our annual pumpkin carving day!   We go out to the local Indian restaurant for lunch and then return to our home for carving of the pumpkins…it’s been a tradition for many many years!

While I was at the market, I got some vegetarian bacon and I am going to try a receipt using my new cast iron muffin pan!

The recipe calls for lining the pans with bacon, sprinkling in cheddar cheese, and with breaking an egg or placing an egg on top and baking them for 20 minutes at 370.

I plan to use vegetarian bacon in the cups and see what happens?

Sue read quite a bit today and I messed around with the Topper’s Dance Website building Friday’s event for on-line display.   It take me about four plus hours to put together three pages as I have to download the pictures into Lightroom, go through each one (usually about 250 shots) and dump the duds, crop and fix the “OK” ones, rename them and put them onto three HTML pages.

Getting the HTML pages ready, establishing the navigation links is about an hour considering I change the music and images/backgrounds every month.

Then I caption most of the images, add supporting images (usually something humorous), add “Did You Know’s?” . and then some images annotated with comments pertaining to the specific evening.  Often I will resort to my  comic book program to add some iterest and poke fun at everyone!

Love those captions!
That’s us near the bottom left-hand corner
Just us enjoying the evening with great friends and wonderful music!!

Most of the day we spent watching TV although I did do some Halloween decorating in the last afternoon while Sue was resting.  This next week is going to be rather busy with two surgeries planned.
