Yup! Why do blondes have TGIF on their shoes? Toes go in first!
Up! Up! It’s a brand new day! I hopped in the car and off to the races…Staples for a print job…Ralph’s for beer and iced tea…CVS to check a prescription…Rossmoor Cleaners for pickup and drop-off…you know, some things I can’t do when I walk!
Latest on Kathy was not great. They operated on her but could not get all the tumor. They plan additional tests and likely another attempt at getting all the tumor, we will know this week.
Sue decided that we needed Italian today so we went to d’Amego adjacent to the Panda Inn. Actually, it was quite nice with us both have a good meal punctuated with gelato for dessert.
Upon returning home, Paul took a nap and continued some work in the back yard. The corn is now gone, chopped into small pieces and stuffed in the new 100 gallon trash container!
The ground was perfect for potatoes so I planted them about 30 days ago and the stems are popping up…in 60 days we will have bunches of samll fingerling potatoes!
The ol’ berry patch is doing well! It is getting its second wind and producing nicely. These are “late season” berries that I got to grow somehow by prunning just right?
Around 5:00 PM Mitch called and was on his way to the Yucatan Grill in Seal Beach…we both perked up and headed that direction. We had a great meal although it was full of kids from McGraw school…the restaurant was having a fund raiser for the school!
We returned home and watched Gilmore Girls until about midnight when we hit the sack! All in all, a very good day!
Where is my phone? Dang! Left it in the car so to the garage I go with a little Halloween surprise! Fortunately, I brought my 1200 lumen heavy duty flashlight! More light than needed but the two pounds of batteries inside the steel case frightened the spider!
I shined a little light on him but he did NOT seem bothered at all…kept on working…pissed him off when I detached the bottom of his nice new web so I could get to the garage. I did it carefully so as not to destroy the nights work…after all, he gets hungry also!
Now… time to hit the sack for a great nights sleep…
