Remember: Retirement is the time in your life when time is no longer money.
Today was easy… Paul did not walk but just did “stuff” around the house until it was time to visit Dr. Spenser for a followup on the guided imagery back shot. After telling him the pain has significantly subsided, we told us that we could continue to take the shots four times a year until such time was the shot do not work. At that time, surgery would be needed. So, we were quite happy with the results.
On the way home, we called Robin and said “Let’s to The Yucatan Grill”…and we did. Yucatan Grill has been family owned and operated since 1988… we know as we have gone there for thirty years!
We met her there about 11:30 AM for a nice lunch. Of course, Paul had his favorite which is Shrimp Diablo made by simmering Jumbo shrimp in a hot and spicy habanero sauce. Did I say hot? Paul had a margarita (first real drink in six months) and it was a disappointment…he is going back to the non-alcoholic beer instead!
We headed home and watched a little TV before our cleaning people showed up at 3:30 PM at which time we left and headed to Old Ranch. Life is tough, we had to sit in the dining room, at the huge plate glass windows, and watch Mother Nature do her thing. Sue sipped her “wine” and Paul did the non-alcoholic beer. We talked until about 5:00 at which time we went home…a whole two miles away.
We watched TV and fought with the CBS Access application…seemed it wanted to have problems today…hope it worked better tomorrow. Netflix and other apps ran fine through the FireBox but CBS Access was experiencing a stop/buffer every 5-6 seconds…not watchable!
